a bad egr valve will not stop the car from running. all that is for is for emissions purposes. sounds like your catalytic converter may be clogged up, you could have a clogged up fuel filter, or some important sensor is crapping out on you.

What type of fish was this?

I saw this fish in the ocean where I was swimming in South Carolina. It looked like a piece of seaweed or long blade of grass. It was about 6 or 8 inches long, yellow green in color and didn't appear to have noticible fins but swam by wiggling side to side. It had a pointed face and two somewhat large eyes. I would really like to know what type of fish this is, I'm very curious. I know it wasn't just a piece of seaweed or grass because it was clearly alive and moving itself. Thanks.

I need help with my puppy!?

My 11 week old labrador is biting sooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo bad! He has broken the skin with his bite about maybe 5 or 6 times between yesterday and today. He has moments where he just can't stop and I feel like nothing will work. I have tried pinning him down and holding his muzzle but he just wiggles like crazy for endless time. I try walking away but as I'm getting over the baby get he tries to get my legs or if I'm walking away he keeps chasing me almost. I cannot control my temper and yell very angrily very often. A/c run's and cool's but very low air flow?

While running a/c you can feel the change from defrost, floor, regular vent's etc. So vacuum switch working to move flow. But airflow seem's to be blocked and very low pressure from vents. Is there a filter somewhere?? Do I maybe need to clean evap coil? I do hvacr, but never on vehicles. 2003 Ram 1500 sport truck. Better yet how do I get this thing apart so I can get my air flow path cleaned and real air flow back????

Mazda 323 running problems?

I have 92 323 1.8l Efi. Intermitant problems taking off. the car splutters very bad and sometimes cuts out and gives problem starting again. some days the car runs good for 5 mins then goes wrong. The dissy cap and rotor arm have been replaced and the fuel filter was clean but i replaced anyway plugs new aswell.. dissconnect the airflow meter and the car cuts out straight away. Also sometimes when i get it started again it missfires bad. i have got a coil on order as many people say they go wrong. Any Ideas thanks Gordon

About how much would that cost i am thinking between 3 and 4 grand to have it done right. Would it be pretty much brand new? i don't want ridiculous performance even after i have everything rebuilt i would like her to have 300-350 HP when i am done (stock 85 L98 only has 230 or so but don't let that fool you the 330LBs of torque put you in your seat) without hurting the economy of her (too much) so mainly just airflow mods. Ocean City Maryland is awesome the beach is super clean there is a great boardwalk and a carnival/small amusement park, all of the hotel are on the beach(just walk across the boardwalk) it is basically an island and I'm guessing most of the hotels are about the same you should call the and ask for a room with an ocean view make sure the hotels address is on boardwalk those are the ones on the beach also check out Assateague island it a very short drive and very cool there is a more "rustic beach" and wild ponies and it just a beautiful place to visit and a day pass is not that expensive

What would cause an '01 sienna to spontaneously accelerate?

Step father took his toyota sienna to the shop because it spontaneously accelerates. He has to put it in neutral to stop sometimes. The mechanic said (I'm qouting this 3rd hand) it needs an Air Idle Control valve and a Mass Fuel Sensor - quoted @ 500$. I'm pretty sure he's talking about a mass Airflow Sensor, but step father swears it was mass fuel. never heard of one of those. Anyway, Does that sound like the cure in any case?

Any yellow check engine light on? Of course recheck MAF installation. Make sure air intake ductwork clamps are fitted properly and tight and there's no splits in the corrugated ductwork. Make sure the air filter got installed properly and is not letting dirt into the duct and MAF sensor area.

A simple venturi set up for a cooling fan sytem?

I'm trying to make a cooling unit for some computer case fans, i could buy something to cool the system but i'd rather make it myself as i like a challenge. I'm thinking of two openings to fit the fans and a venturi in the middle. Would a venturi in effect restrict the volume of air or would i get the same volume because of the increased speed in airflow? And would a venturi increase the noise, or would baffling be of any use?

What kind of worms does my cat have?

I have 5 indoor cats, and one of them got out on the roof through an open window. A couple of weeks later I saw worms coming from her butt. They were coming out wiggling, and they were about the size of pieces of rice. They are a yellowish/white color. Later that same day I found the same worms in my own bowel movement. I went to the doctor, they took blood and a stool sample and said that the worms had passed and were no longer in my system. 3800 series 2 question?

I have a 99 Bonneville that has started to have a rough idle at stops where it will sit just right and then putter low for a second on and off the whole time I'm at stop lights. I changed the fuel filter and changed the wires and plugs a few months ago, and put in a new air filter as well. I can't hear any vacuum leaks, and no check engine light so probably not mass airflow sensor. Any thoughts? I may get a new pcv valve tomorrow and see what that does but I remember changing it not so long ago.

A few days ago, I opened the door of our side by side refrigerator and noticed a lot of frost all over everything. I thought someone didn't shut the door tight enough. I made sure the doors were shut. The frost went away but now the refrigerator isn't getting cold enough. I found ice in the refrigerator airflow vent this morning, broke it off, and raised the cool level a notch. It's been a few hours but it hasn't seemed to have cooled down. What should I check? What do you think is wrong? The freezer seems to be working fine now and no more frost there.

How did I become so tan? I'm asian?

As a child I lived in the east coast but was always very pale. My sister was always quite tan. However, now I am fairly tan, the only parts of me still pale is where my pants and shirt cover up and my underarms. I might have grown out of my original skin color, I know people tend to be naturally paler as children. But I'm thinking it's because the change of climate. I probably have a naturally pale skin color, but an easy ability to tan. Or maybe because I got tanned as a child, it got stuck that way? I don't know I'm curious though. By the way, I'm korean .

Horse Abuse Signs??? Please Help!!!?

I`ve owned him for 7 years and he has always been supple and kind whenever being handled. As of lately, my horse has been acting differently. He`s jumpy when I touch him, he tends to shiver slightly when I go catch him, & while doing horsemanship, he reared on me. Now for some people thats not a big deal but my horse has NEVER reared or even come CLOSE to it! I just wiggled the rope slightly and walked towards him to have him back up but instead he went straight up and started to panick and back up like crazy! He wouldn`t stop! It took 15 minutes to get him to calm back down. I never tried backing him up ever since. After that, I noticed that the chain of his lead rope on his halter was not how I left it. I always loop it through the ring and latch it back on itself, but I found it latched on the ring instead. Seeing that I looked at his nose and saw that were his little wart thing was, the hair was all missing. Since then I`ve been checking him daily for cuts and he`s been getting alot of wounds that I can`t explain, bruises and he has never hurt himself before. He`s turned out with a mare yes but she`s a quarter of his size and can`t reach his face or the top of his butt. He has a long slightly curved series of cuts on his face that he wouldn`t let me touch which isn`t like him. He loves to be touched and to hide in your pockets. Do you think I`m being paranoid or are these signs he`s being abused?? I know for a fact that the barn manager there hates me. She starts up alot of drama and abuses me verbally and since I work there, she takes advantage of me often. Please help me!! My rabbit pulled her fur out last night. I was not sure why because she has been in a hutch all by herself. I moved her to another hutch to clean the one she was in. So I desperately want to go to the east coast to study. I have a 4.6 GPA, I am in the top 10% out of 800 rising seniors at my school, I am actively involved in my community, I play a sport and an instrument, my family has a low income so I am being helped with financial aid, HOWEVER my ACT and SAT scores are not good. That is the only concern for me: that I would not be accepted to colleges because of my low test scores. I honestly am a horrible test taker in that i always get nervous no matter how prepared I am, and my nervousness gets the better of me. What do you think my chances are? I got a 22 on my ACT and 1590 on SAT and 540 on Math II Sub. and 560 on Bio Sub. I know I have a chance to retake ACT or SAT, but how do you think I stack up? Appreciate it.

well i got my battery and alternator tested and its not those, but whats happening is on a fresh battery my car will run all day then at the end of the day my car will die slowly like the alternator isnt charging. my buddy helped me and all he did was go out and wiggle my terminals on my battery and it worked fine until i started messing around with it. So i cleaned the corrosion off the terminals and wires and tightened everything down and its still doing it everything is tight on there and no corrosion no problems starting just constantly kills my battery so i have to charge it everyday any ideas?

Kawasaki z750 holding back when changing gears?

What could this medical condition be a symptom of?

I'm a 36 yo female. For the past several weeks the toes on my left foot feel stiff. I can't always wiggle them it's like they're stuck except the thumb is ok. If I pull with my hand to move them like if it's curled in a weird shape and I can't get it to straighten on its own, sometimes it'll hurt like I pulled a muscle and then I'll feel it gradually come to life over time while it still feels weird and dull then at a later time it'll freeze up again like the nerves aren't receiving the message to move. African grey wing amputation?

ok my african grey had to have his wing amputated 2 days ago. My vet's instructions are to bring him back monday for a bandage change, antibiotics BID, and a med for pain and inflammation. Why is my amp shutting off?

I have a 1200 wat power acoustik BAMF 2 channel amp with a 2 ohm load run with 4 guage wire and grounded to the chasie. the amp is powering (2) 10 inch sony xplod speakers with 1100 wats each ( prolly bout 350 RMS each) i have the two speakers bridged to one channel and after about 20 min of play my amp is shutting off. the amp is in the trunk of my 2000 honda civic and usually leave the back seat down to let airflow into the trunk but still no help if anyone could help me out with this maybe anything that i should change it would be much apreciated... oh and i also am only running the amp at 50% gain and it still shuts off

Its been a couple months now that I have been having problems with my charging port. In order to get my laptop charging I have to twist the ac adapter around while pushing it in quite hard. Sometimes, even when I would get ac adapter into the right position, it my computer would stop charging and I would have to twist and push the ac adapter again. I have a 2003 ford escape 4x4 3.0l v6 that the shop says has back pressure. I took it to a muffler shop they put a $1,200 catalytic converter on it and said it was fixed. When I took it back to the transmission shop he says it still has back pressure and when he pulls an o2 sensor it runs better through the open hole in the exhaust letting out more air what causes this? it is making my car down shift and then it is not able to up shift cause it isn't pushing out enough airflow. The muffler shop said that the flow was good and there are no clog. What is my problem?

hello, i rent a house and i have a problem . i have a clog somewhere in my pipes. The kitchen sink got backed up(standing water..i tried a plunger, drain cleaner removed the trap and i even bought a 15ft drain snake and tried to unclog it without any luck. After talking to a few people they said that it could be the vent and the airflow isnt venting right or it is deeper in the pipes..and they told me it would be the landlords responsibility. I'm not sure which way the street is but that big hose is called your return duct. The arrow on the filter should be pointing towards the air handler and away from the return duct as it is slid into the filter housing. The arrow denotes air flow direction. The return air is doing just that, returning to the air handler therefore flowing in that direction. The dirt and gunk would be on the right side of the filter as the filters main job is to protect the coil in the air handler which is why you filter the air right before it gets to the air handler.

5 years ago i had my ears pierced and they got infected not i got them pierced again. It has been 6 weeks. I changed my earrings, the first time i had no problem. At night I had to change back into my studs so I took out my earring, But i couldnt find the back of the hole!! What could this medical condition be a symptom of?

I'm a 36 yo female. For the past several weeks the toes on my left foot feel stiff. I can't always wiggle them it's like they're stuck except the thumb is ok. If I pull with my hand to move them like if it's curled in a weird shape and I can't get it to straighten on its own, sometimes it'll hurt like I pulled a muscle and then I'll feel it gradually come to life over time while it still feels weird and dull then at a later time it'll freeze up again like the nerves aren't receiving the message to move. Any idea what it could mean? I'm normal weight and height, otherwise healthy and don't have diabetes or anything else I'm aware of.

One, NEVER stick anything (including your fingers) in your ear. You probably made it A LOT worse. If you ruptured your eardrum, there would be blood and it would be VERY painful. I think you might need a doctor. It could be very serious. He would give you (might) ear drops to cope with the pain. If you have too much earwax, he might flush your ears out (it doesn't hurt, it sounds weird and might help you with the hearing part).

well from my experience with MDMA, the effects last about 4-7 hours, sometimes less sometimes more depending on how many pills I take. I am not an every weekend roller, I am not even a roller.. '96 Honda Civic AC Flow weakens as air gets colder?

I'm driving a 1996 Honda Civic EX, and my AC is acting up. When I first start the car, the airflow is normal even though it hasn't cooled yet, but after the air gets cool enough, the flow weakens. In other words, I could be running my AC on high and it'll feel like it's running on low once the air has gotten cool enough. Any thoughts on what the problem could be and how much it would cost to fix it?

Air coming out of euphonium bell?

I recently got a new school owned instrument that looked a little banged up to me when I first saw it. I played on it a little and I noticed I had an exceptionally air-y tone compared to what I had before. I tried using various mouthpieces---all had the same result. I also tried using my friend's euphonium with these same mouth pieces, and my tone was just fine and not air-y. For some odd reason, I decided to put my hand over the bell to see if I could feel any airflow and sure enough there was. There was an abnormal amount of air coming out the bell. To me, it sounds like there could be a small dent or something that is causing the air to escape. Would I be right in saying this? If not, what does this sound like to you? Is it normal? Tooth is...well something is wrong with it,help!!?

I'm only 23, one of my front teeth on the bottom has bad gum recession, from a lip ring and tongue ring when I was younger, I can't afford to go to the dentist at the moment. The last few days the tooth has been super sensitive and almost feels out of place? It does wiggle a tiny tiny bit but nothing serious. But I'm wondering if it's ready to give out? Why does it seem like my batter cord doesn't fit into my computer?

Laptop fans suddenly loud (even shortly after a boot)?

When I got my laptop, my fans were never that loud however, I normally have these bottle caps I place under it for optimal airflow. Today, my brother removed them without my knowledge and placed it back on the perfectly flat table surface where it was under intense gaming for a few hours. I only noticed this when one of my fans suddenly got very loud. Since then I shut it down, reset the laptop onto the bottle caps, and then let it all cool down. I have the EXACT same PC and the EXACT same issue started on the EXACT same day. The only thing I can think of is that either a Windows update or a HP update has caused this. It is annoying the heck out of me. Doing a system restore to a a few weeks ago didn't change a thing. Fan still turns on loud. That leads me to believe it was an HP update that changed something in the BIOS. I will be calling HP and complaining about this!

Is moving with a U-Haul attached trailer for a very long distance trip a good idea?

Seems like the best thing would be the u-haul trailer, you could get the smallest size and be fine. It would definitely be better than having everything stuffed into the crv and having no room to move for that ride. On long trips like that, the more room you have in the vehicle, the more enjoyable the trip will be. Either lighten the load or get the trailer... the trailers are not hard to drive with or operate BUT it can at times be a hassle to find parking. Some places will not let you park with trailers on their property.

From one shooter to another- How can i be more accurate with my handgun?

I have been having extreme accuracy problems with My almost brand new Glock model 20 10mm auto semi auto handgun. I have been shooting handguns for a good amount of years. Have lots of experience shooting 1911's. In fact my and my father went to the local range, me with my glock 20 and 100rds of CC1 blazer and my dad with his Kimber 1911 .45acp and 150rds of Magtech fmj. This was the first and only time i shot my Tupperware pistol but from a standard distance of 10yds my accuracy was a joke. i was hitting paper, but all over the place. to put it in idea i had probly a 2ft group. switching to the 1911 i had probly a 5 inch group at 20yds. I am 5'6, 125lbs, im a small guy that wears a medium sized glove, but even so i believe the extremely fat grip of the 15rd mag G20 negatively effects my shooting. i shoot thumbs forward, with both eyes open and shoot SO MUCH better with a single stack .45, obviously if i bought a glock i couldnt afford to get a 10mm 1911 but i just had to have the ballistic performance of the 10mm. Recoil wasnt an issue, but sheer size of the grip is. holding it when not shooting it isnt uncomfortable, feel good, but when it comes down to releasing some lead the grip wiggles around in my hand because it is not fully supported (I am guessing). I have been Kicking myself for buying it. i absolutely love the gun. it is 1 of 2 of my handguns the other being a 1954 Czech CZ52 7.62x25 which has no recoil, but isnt a serious weapon when it comes to performance and reliability. if i could swap the G20 for a 1911 .45 i would, but cant. so my fellow handgun heads what do you recommend i do to get use out of this bad boy?

I haven't seen my kid's father since I was 6 months pregnant and haven't got a response from him in over a year. My son is 2, and yes he pays support, though I don't need it- it's all in the bank for him. I may be forced to transfer to the east coast with my job, and i'd hate to have to leave my son 40 hrs away with my family in CA, when his dad lives and has family 4 hrs from where I may have to go. I know we weren't serious, and I know he doesn't want his family to know that he has a son, but I think my son should have some family especially male figures in his life. Otherwise I'll move away and see him about 2 times a year while he lives with my ex step-mom and half-sister who I rarely talk to as it is. quiting my job is not an option.

Well that's a half way decent sub so you'll want good stuff powering it, for the wiring get anything bigger than 4 gauge because if you go smaller to like 6 gauge, you start losing power to the amp. Make sure the brand of wire you get isn't some cheap $&@! From walmart. In wiring you want to spend a little extra to make sure you have everything all good. For the amp I have no clue because it really depends on how much you want to spend, for this sub spend the little more to get an amp that won't blow your sub and won't cut it out
