Help! My HP Pavillion p6210y fan speeds up and slows down repeatedly!?

I have the EXACT same PC and the EXACT same issue started on the EXACT same day. The only thing I can think of is that either a Windows update or a HP update has caused this. It is annoying the heck out of me. Doing a system restore to a a few weeks ago didn't change a thing. Fan still turns on loud. That leads me to believe it was an HP update that changed something in the BIOS. I will be calling HP and complaining about this!
