Will my PS3 Slim overheat from this?

Okay recently (2 days ago) i got a ps3 slim, and i have it in a cabinet. I discovered i wasnt supposed to do this because of the airflow. But my question is, if i open the cabinet doors when i play it, will it be okay? There is about the suggested 10 cm from the vents inside the cabinet, so if i open the door, should it be okay?
