Is my cracked air filter housing the problem for check engine codes P0171 and P0174?

Have had codes P0171 and P0174 come up on my 98 Mustang. I know the codes means system bank 1 and 2 too lean. I have cleaned the Mass Airflow sensor and changed the air filter. When I changed the air filter, I noticed he bottom part of the housing that holds the air filter is cracked. Would they have anything to do with the codes staying on?
